|If the line is too short, the text won't show - it has to be a minimum length, whatever that may be.|
You might have to use a plain line and add the text as an expression.

|Actually, what you chose to replace was the wiggly line glissando. Had you chosen that in the palette, the "port." line you created would have appeared. In the options box, you chose glissando. That's the wiggly line, not the straight line.|
