I want to drop measures 102-150 into a larger piece from another score (both in Finale) to avoid entering all those measures from scratch given 12 staves. Some of those 48 measures are corrections and some are entirely new. Is there a way to do an Apple C/Apple V kind of cut and paste? If that is possible, how do I make room for the new measures? Presumably I do not need to erase measures to be replaced first before importing. I am using 2010 version. Hopefully someone out there remembers a bit about that version. Thnks

In Windows, Ctrl-V is Paste. I imagine that's the same as Apple V. Windows has Ctrl-I for Insert. Is there Apple I for insert? I think you want insert instead of paste, unless I am misunderstanding the question.

The Mac replaces the Ctrl key by Cmd, but all the actions are identical. Cmd-I for Insert.
Select and copy the measures you want to Insert (Cmd-C). Select the measure after the Insertion, and type Cmd-I.
I hope I understood your question.

Insert a measure stack (48 measures) at the point where you want to insert the new measures. You must do this in order to avoid overwriting measures that are already there.
Does the source score have the same instrumentation as the new score? In that case simply select the measures in the source score, press cmd-C, select the first empty measure in the new score and press cmd-V.
If the instrumentation is different, copy and paste (same procedure) by blocks of staves that are neighbouring in the source score as well as in the new score.

Reluctantly accepting Finale 2014, despite all its bugs and flaws. Because I have to, not because I want to.
Mac OS X 10.10.4.
