Hi all,

This is new. I'm trying to clean up and arrange a supplied file from an earlier version of Finale. I have copied the contents to my concert band template.

I open the attached file in 2014.5 and open a Speedy window on bar 19. I arrow to the last note, hold down an F major triad on the MIDI keyboard and hit Enter (to change it from an F minor triad) as I have done thousands of times in the past. Finale crashes.

I reopen Finale and the file. In Speedy, I arrow to the last A flat in bar 19. I press + to raise it a semitone. Finale crashes.

Same results in 2014. Trash both sets of preferences. Same results, even after 4 tries. In a new Finale default file, this does not happen.

I have attached the crash logs for BOTH 2014 and 2014.5. Any help? I have also submitted a tech support case, but if I can get this cleared up sooner, I would prefer it, as I have an outstanding deadline.

Thanks in advance.

Christopher

I worked it out with the help of tech support. I had installed Garritan Orchestra and Jazz and Big Band after my 2014.5 installation, and it installed an old version of the Aria Player. Tech support told me to do a custom install of 2014.5 to only install the Aria Player, and it installed the correct version which solved the crashes.
