I'm using the most current F2014 for Mac on a large project.

In my current score I have some repeat marks that span 2, 4, or 8 measures that need a smart shape over them that will say:
Safety - - - - - - - (…and it stretches to size.)

For many instruments, in the parts these repeated bars will become multi measure rests. In the linked parts I just discovered that the Safety smart shape does not show if there is a multi measure rest because the marking attaches to the first and last beats of said measures; and when those beats disappear into a multi measure rest, the marking disappears. The Safety reappears if I force a MMR break to show the first and last bars of the repeated section, but that just looks wrong. I could go through and reassign the markings in the parts after the MMRs are created, but as I'd already done this step it would be a hassle. Any suggestions? Basically, the question is: how do I tell a smart shape to attach to barlines instead of beats? Or, how can I create a stretchable marking of any kind that attaches to barlines?

If you attach the Smart Shape to just the first bar of the MM rest, then it should show in the MM rest.
