Help,

I have done this before successfully but it is not working now.

I am working on a piece for SATB chorus. There is a 4-Bar section that repeats 4 times adding a voice with each loop (Alto, Soprano, Tenor (in bar 2), then Bass (on beat 3 of bar 1)).

I set the volume (controller 7) of the three late-entering parts to 0 during a bar of rest before the loop starts. Then I add in the other parts by setting the volume to 256 with Play on pass # set accordingly.

What is happening, is that they all set the volume back up to 256 on the first pass. So, frustrating. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. I have searched the forum for other posts, but they aren't offering anything on this specific technique.

Thanks so much

Volume/expression is unstable. This works: Make an expression to switch to an unassigned MIDI channel (125 or something) on pass 1 and another exp to switch back to the original MIDI channel on pass 2. Hide them if you wish.

Edit: Not my own idea, just one of innumerable tips from the great Zuill.
