I have a score in which (transcribing from a manuscript) many of the measures are filled with quarter notes with a single beam crossing the stem (in the manner of a tremolo, but only one beam), indicating that it be played as two eighth notes.
I've been informed by the supervisors of the edition that house style is to write out the eighth notes in such situations without using the abbreviation.
Is there any way to make this change for a whole passage without just going in and rewriting every note? -- turn each selected quarter note into a pair of eighth notes with the same pitch?
I had hoped that someone might have created a plugin that would do such a transformation, but so far I haven't found one. Have I missed something?
