After installing MacOS Sierra 10.12.1, Finale v25.1 now immediately crashes (unexpectedly quits) when trying to select any input tool (Simple Note, Speedy Note, etc) for me. Anyone else experiencing this?

Post the crash log here (AS A TEXT FILE ATTACHMENT, NOT PASTED INTO THE THREAD).

Also, send it to MakeMusic to see what they suggests.

But really, you need to check all the usual third-party software suspects -- audio plugins, hardware drivers, AV software, "interface enhancers", etc.

Here's the crash log. I've got a ticket running with MakeMusic Support as well.

FOUND IT!!!

After your message about audio components, I looked through the crash log again and saw some MIDI reports - I saw that after resetting the prefs, Finale defaults back to Play Finale Through MIDI. I changed it to Play Finale Through Audio Units and NO CRASH! I can use Finale v25 again! Can you/anyone confirm if this is a bug? I do not have a midi keyboard connected.

Whew!
