So, does that mean that those who pre-ordered will get shipping confirmation e-mails, or will we just be pleasantly surprised when the box shows up at our door?

MMFA - Thanks for the update - I read today's date for release on the website, but from the previous post it sounded as though there were still issues that might push out the release date. Thanks for clearing that up (for me). I still love Finale.

Imagine a world without art: no music but the din of machines, no architecture but a monotony of line,  no literature but the word of order, no art but a canvas of conformity.

You will receive a shipping confirmation email. Please be aware that it will take a few working days to get all the preorders sent.

Thanks! I got my confirmation e-mail this afternoon, with scheduled delivery on Monday! What, with iLife '04 today (Friday) and Finale 04 OSX (Monday), I might have to take next week off! smilewinkgrin

Aw, it's too early to tell if iLife will disappoint. I've been playing around with GarageBand now for a day or so, and it's fun. (In fact, now it's even easier to create bad music! :-) )

Seriously, though, you must admit this is a banner month for music on Mac OS X. GarageBand, Logic, now Finale.... I think the only widely-used music program not at the party now is Band-in-a-Box, and they should be here soon.

(i)Life is good, and all is right with the cosmos again. (Of course, that's contingent on my copy of Finale OSX actually arriving Monday.)

You are right about 300%!

iLife is not bad,as nothing from Apple is, but since they started charging I expected more... shocked

Wow, are you kidding? Just try to get a better set of apps (iLife) for less than $49 on WinBlows. I'm having fun with Garage Band. BTW, anyone know if we can hook GB and Finale 2004 together to playback Finale channels?

iLife should have remained free, as a little privilege for Mac users.

GarageBand is a nice toy, but praising it on this very site is like appraisal of iMovie on the FinalCutPro users' page :p

Talk about fast. My copy has already arrived here in Danmark, incl. T-shirt. But I suppose that delivery to Europe is a litttle faster than delivery to Australia?

. . . don't forget the iPhoto enhancements. Mine library scrolls about 3 times as fast.
