I'm using Finale 2003a r.1 and I've set up a clarinet choir (empty) score with the Wizard's help. I've never used "show in concert pitch" before, but I thought I'd use it for this. After I enable "show in concert pitch," I notice that the bass clarinet uses a bass clef ( blush ), but the contra-alto clarinet uses a treble clef ( freaked ). I can't figure out how to show a bass clef for the contra-alto clarinet.

I hope the answer isn't too embarassingly simple. I've used Finale since v.1.

Select the 'Staff' tool from the main tool palette (the icon is a Treble clef). Double click the handle box for the contra alto clef. The staff attributes box will open. Look for something called "First Clef" Click the select button and change the clef to bass.

Hope this helps.

Dave.
