I'd like to scan music into Finale 2004b running on a Mac AGP 400 machine using OS 10.3.3 and would like your comments as to what make and model scanner to try or to avoid. As the machine has both USB and Firewire and is loaded with RAM, none of these things should be considered.

Also, any comments on how well this basic concept works.

Search the forum for related threads. There has been some discussion about how effective it is to turn a scan into a Finale file, and what file format is workable. Success may have more to do with the scanning and image editing software than the scanner.
