I'm having such terrible problems with playback of an orchestral file (outlined in post below) that I'm going to have to revert to 2004 for a while until someone can come up with a fix. The problem is, now that I've saved the file in 2005 it can't be opened in 2004, even as an etf.

What can I do?

ETF has never supported backsaving to my knowledge. When you saved the file as 2005, did you save over the 2004 version? If so, your only choices are to start over, save it as a MIDI file, or try the dolet plugins from Recordare (unless you want to mess with scanning a printout).

Hmmm... yes, I did replace it, on the assumption that I was paying for a superior product. What was I thinking? I'll try copy and pasting into a 2004 document, and check out the dolet plugins. Thanks!

OK - used Dolet plugin (free for 30 days - brilliant!) and successfully backsaved to 2004. Thank you!
