I should have asked this before I started using them. I have been using AutoHotKey for some time and with good results. I just want to make sure that there aren't others who may have experience using them who can warn of any traps or problems I may be opening up.

Yup, I love AHK! Can't survive without it. IMO learning curve is worth it, ya'll have no idea what you're missing :)

I use it. There can be timing issues if you use it to do a series of things in Finale, and you may have to put in pauses whose length must be determined by trial and error. If you can do it with Finalescript you're better off, since it doesn't seem to have such issues.

Yes, it's often a good idea to include pauses for certain lengthy scripts.

It doesn't have to be lengthy. If you type something in a form, for example, you may need to put in a delay before clicking the OK button. Autohotkey can type and click faster than a human, and Finale sometimes cannot keep up.

Hmm, I guess I've been lucky so far then!

Thank you all for the reassurance.
