I would try print to PDF first, as it's what I usually do, not sure if it's easier.

Kindle uses mobi, not epub but the conversion to mobi is problematic using calibre. I'm not sure what is out there that is better though. |

No, that's incorrect. I already did an experiment where I exported to epub from finale and then converted to mobi using calibre and the music looked fine. Unfortunately, the text didn't render properly. I got graphic characters in place of certain letters in the fonts of the title for example.
But yes, my goal is to sell a music book through the kindle store. |

I there is a PDF option there with some instructions. Not on that page, but definitely among their options.
