Rewire reset closes down the application and a restart is required. Really dislike that!

Why can't a reset keep the application open?

More importantly, why does it switch over into ReWire mode without being asked to do so?

Yes.....Rewire needs a good deal of work. Hope Mark Adler is on top of this?

Make sure you send in a support request, describing the problem, and what you would prefer.

Finale can only act as a Rewire slave, so if an app that can act as a rewire master has been run between Finale launches (typically Cubase) the system status gets reset and Finale will start as a Rewire slave. If you don't need Rewire just rename/move/delete the Finale rewire dll.
