Since the advent of Finale 2000, the Macintosh version has never automatically broken multimeasure rests for metrical changes. I keep e-mailing tech support and going to the Finale booths at conferences telling them of this problem to NO AVAIL. When doing a large ensemble score with multiple metrical changes, breaking these rest manually takes a VERY long time. Any one else out there having this problem??? I am serious thinking of abandoning ship and going to SIBELIUS!!

Download 2000c from their website. It's a free patch.

It works for me in 2001 and 2002.

Not true. There was a glitch in 2000 that caused this problem, but a free fix came out shortly after the initial release. I haven't seen the problem in 2001 - 2003.
