Has anyone seen this, and if so is there a solution? I'm tearing my hair out (what's left of it)...
If I set a series of tuplets so that the first event in the tuplet is a rest, then COPY (not move) the layer to another layer, then tuplets that launch off a rest only display their number and bracket in the active layer, not in both layers. All tuplets that launch off a note behave normally (i.e. show on both layers) Peter Music Publishing Services

Posted By : Mike Rosen - 6/29/2016 9:27 AM | I reported this to MM in December 2013! I reported it AGAIN in December, 2015.
My workaround: If you have it turned on, uncheck Document Options>Layers>Consolidate Rests Across Layers. Then use JW Change>Rests>Vertical Level>0 to center the rests, while leaving the brackets in both layers. The full TG Tools works, as well.
MM's "solution": 1. Using Simple Entry, highlight the quarter rest and press S to split it. 2. Then, highlight the lower rest and press H to hide it. 3. Next, highlight the upper rest and move it down using the down arrow key. Mike Rosen www.specialmillwork.com

Posted By : Zuill - 6/29/2016 10:42 AM | If you don't want to turn the combining of rests off for the entire document, that can be turned off on a measure by measure basis manually. Even better, you can turn that off with Jari's JW Change plugin, then center the rests as Mike suggested. These 2 operations can be combined into a sequence within Jari's plugin for future use, so it becomes a one click operation.
