 Mixer Doesn't Work
Go into KP2, click the gears icon next to the sample name you are having trouble with, click the controller tab, then make sure there is a check next to "Accept standard values for volume and pan"....

 Copy Continuous Data Between Documents
I just checked this out, copy/pasting continuous data from one document to another in Finale 2009 and it worked fine for me.
