The attached file (Trompete - part) has a top and bottom margin of 2.4 cm. When I print the trumpet-part, I get a top margin of 2.2 cm and a bottom margin of 2.6 cm. This offset appears when printing on A4 paper and when printing to pdf via the MAC OS built-in "Save as pdf".

Anyone having any idea what's going on here? The publisher wants exactly 2.4 cm margins.

Thomas

For what it is worth, I am unable to duplicate the problem.

Take a look at the attached PDF file.

As Far As I Can Tell, the Top and Bottom margins are 2.4 cm - also in print.

Peter

By The Way:
I did not use the Mac OS Print “Save as PDF…”, but rather the Mac OS Print “open PDF in Preview”, and saved the PDF from within Preview.

I was able to measure the top and bottom margin in a pdf file on screen. They are exactly 2.4 cm.
So the problem seems to be my laser printer which has an offset of 2 mm.

As the files are finally printed by a professional printing service, the problem is solves for me.

Just in case : make sure your printer driver is up to date.
+ check the paper size in the print window.

BTW you can add any PDF paper size with your custom margins.
